The site, which is located between Great North Road and Community Lane in Avondale, includes 236 homes across 5 buildings, 6 to 8 levels high. Highbury triangle has achieved a mix of 7-star and 8-star design ratings under Homestar with the New Zealand Green Building Council.

This means the development will exceed the building code requirements for warmth, dryness, and health. Building B is 6-level high, made of timber and has a 8-star Homestar design rating. This is a first for Kāinga Ora.
